THANK YOU to all of our consignors, buyers, auction attendees and remote viewers and bidders. You have all contributed to make the 2010 Breeders Edge® Auction one of the most successful ever! Over 400 people were in attendance. Two-thirds of all consigned alpacas SOLD with an average sales price of $15,290 with an outstanding 25% selling over the Internet!

HIGH SELLING MALE was Lot 6 Buyer's Choice Male. The buyer chose A.L. Paca's Helix Galaxy. Bert & Mary Altmanshofer of Alpacas of the Alleghenies purchased him for $87,000, earning the perpetual trophy for Highest Selling Male Purchase. The seller, Doug Caldwell of AL Paca's Farms, won the perpetual trophy for Highest Selling Male Consignment.

HIGH SELLING FEMALE was Lot 12 AL Paca's Kala. Carol Grace & Ben McCarley of Tuscany Valley Alpacas purchased her for $54,0000, earning the perpetual trophy for Highest Selling Female Purchase. The seller, Doug Caldwell of AL Paca's Farms, also won the perpetual trophy for Highest Selling Female Consignment!

BONUS BREEDINGS ~ Nearly 25% of animals sold for more than $17,500 earning these 10 buyers complimentary breedings to HDF Prince Phillip.

FREE MATRIX BREEDING ~ Internet bidder, Christine Gutterman of River Pawz Alpaca Ranch, won the drawing for a free Snowmass Matrix breeding!

FREE JR HERDSIRE ~ Deborah Ankrom won a free junior herdsire in the Alpaca Bingo game—a son of Maple Brook Maykon! Congratulations, Deborah!

CHARITABLE DONATIONS ~ Between the herdsire services auction and the Bucks Raffle, we raised $15,000 for charitable donations to the Quechua Benefit and to Dr. Chris Cebra’s research projects at Oregon State.

BUCKS RAFFLE ~ Each of the Breeders Edge® Bucks Raffle winners took home $1500 in cash! Congratulations to winners Jerry & Catie Dutcher of Butterfly Hill Farm, Fiber & Fashion and to Brenda Breedlove of Ashland Alpacas West, LLC!

COSTUME CONTEST WINNERS ~ The Mardi Gras costume contest was a tie between Conrad Arnold of Breezy Meadows Alpacas and Mary Haller of Alpaca Green LLC. Both of them won a free breeding to Snowmass Invincible!
